Who or What is She?

  • She calls herself Lauren but is also known as Mom, Gramma, Lar, and, once upon a time, Peach.
An ex-suburbanite who moved to the wilds of the Sonoran Desert and decided to raise fiber animals, fowl creatures, 3 halflings, and one pint-sized farmer without a clue as to how. Join Lauren as she learns how to file alpaca teeth, shear a horny goat, raise 3 teenagers and 1 grandchild while cooking dinner and doing the laundry with her other six arms.

I like Archie; Archimedes is good. Now what about a girl name? She's going to have a ewe lamb, too, you know! What was Archie Bunker's wife's name? Edith?

I had Brian drag the doberman-sized crate up to the house. I need to scrub it good, dry it off (with towels, since it certainly won't air-dry here!), and install it somewhere in the house so Jackson can be safely contained while we are out. And you can feel sorry for him all you want; we stopped letting dogs sleep in bed with us when Billy the dachshund pooped between our pillows one night!

Happy Pi Day! My 10 year old son's school celebrates Pi Day with a Pi Contest--the kids who can recite Pi to the most digits wins--what else?--a pie.

I asked my son yesterday how many digits he knows and he rattled off Pi to 46 decimal places. Can't remember his jacket, of course...

We had Pi Day where I use to teach. The kids loved it and loved the pies they got to bring to school.
