Who or What is She?

  • She calls herself Lauren but is also known as Mom, Gramma, Lar, and, once upon a time, Peach.
An ex-suburbanite who moved to the wilds of the Sonoran Desert and decided to raise fiber animals, fowl creatures, 3 halflings, and one pint-sized farmer without a clue as to how. Join Lauren as she learns how to file alpaca teeth, shear a horny goat, raise 3 teenagers and 1 grandchild while cooking dinner and doing the laundry with her other six arms.

I am so sorry ... they are always such happy little guys. I am never prepared for them to go so young.

Sally

Thank you for sharing him with us, and for honouring his life and death as you did.

I don't know how you handle it. I've had all the sadness I can take this year, and it hasn't gone away yet.

my heart hurts for you. Nature is SO cruel. Why did that poor little chicken have to die? At least it was in safe place. I saw Bella playing with something the other day and when I looked closer, it was a little tiny mouse. It was injured and Bella was tossing it about and pawing at it. One of the things I want cats and dogs for is to keep the rodent population down ~ but I don't want to SEE it! I felt so horrible. Poor little mouse. It never hurt anyone. I often ask God why nature is so cruel and his creatures have to suffer so...

He hasn't answered
